The Virtual Figure: Virtual Life Drawing with Robert Scobey
Time & Location
About the Event
Robert Scobey’s prolific figurative work is truly attention grabbing. His elongated figures in peculiar poses fill the viewer with inspiration and I can’t wait to push myself to create new and exciting shapes in this session with you all.
Robert Scobey is an artist from Nashville, USA. He holds a BA in Graphic Design and an MFA from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (2009). While living in Philadelphia, he worked as an assistant to Osvaldo Romberg, and packed up most of the Barnes Foundation when it moved. From 2015-2020, he taught drawing and foundations at Watkins College of Art. His paintings were recently included in New American Paintings Issue No. 136, and in INPA 9 (Manifest Press).
In this session Robert will be using charcoal to draw the model in very particular poses, alternating short and long poses from 1 to 20 minutes length.
